Preparation for winter

The capital’s readiness for the autumn-winter period, the protection of critical infrastructure, and the execution of the Comprehensive Resilience Plan were the primary topics of a coordination meeting chaired by the Minister of Restoration, Infrastructure, and Transport of Ukraine, Mykola Kalashnyk.

Particular emphasis was placed on the engineering and technical protection of energy and utility infrastructure facilities, the development of distributed generation, the implementation of cogeneration units, ensuring backup power supply for heating and water systems, and adherence to the schedules for executing measures crucial for Kyiv’s preparedness for the autumn-winter season.

During the meeting, reports from responsible executors regarding the implementation of resilience plan measures and the fulfillment of approved schedules were heard. The Minister stressed that all work must be completed unequivocally within the designated timelines, as these pertain to critical infrastructure facilities upon whose functionality the safety and sustenance of the capital depend.
