Harvest-2026 in Kirovohrad region: yields of all early crops exceeded last year's

In the Kirovohrad region, the harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops is being completed. They were harvested from an area of 538.6 thousand hectares, which constitutes 97% of the planned acreage. A total of 2 million 335.3 thousand tons of grain were threshed. This is reported by Suspilne.

The average yield is 4.34 t/ha. For each of the harvested crops, this figure is higher than in 2025.

Winter wheat was harvested from an area of 405.2 thousand hectares (96% of the fields), yielding 1 million 823.4 thousand tons, with an average productivity of 4.5 t/ha. This is 0.03 t/ha more than last year.

Winter barley was threshed from an area of 41.7 thousand hectares (98% of the fields), producing 194.4 thousand tons, with an average yield of 4.66 t/ha. This is 0.43 t/ha higher than last year.

Spring barley was harvested from an area of 54.8 thousand hectares (99% of the forecast), yielding 213.7 thousand tons at an average productivity of 3.9 t/ha. This is 0.76 t/ha more than last year.

Peas were threshed from an area of 30.5 thousand hectares (97% of the projected acreage), with a total harvest of 82 thousand tons and an average yield of 2.69 t/ha. This is 0.1 t/ha more than last year.

The rapeseed harvest in the region is nearing completion. The crop was gathered from 58.9 thousand hectares (91% of the forecast). A total of 121.3 thousand tons were threshed. The yield stands at 2.06 t/ha, which is 0.16 t/ha less than last year.

In total, 557.8 thousand hectares are subject to the harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops, which is 26.9 thousand hectares more than last year, including:

  • winter wheat — 422.1 thousand hectares;
  • spring wheat — 4.3 thousand hectares;
  • winter rye — 1.5 thousand hectares;
  • winter barley — 42.6 thousand hectares;
  • spring barley — 55.4 thousand hectares;
  • peas — 31.3 thousand hectares;
  • oats — 0.6 thousand hectares.

Additionally, rapeseed is to be harvested from an area of 64.7 thousand hectares, which is 38.8 thousand hectares more than last year.
