Harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops has commenced in the Lozivska community of Kharkiv region in 2026.
This year, agricultural producers are operating under wartime conditions, where high fuel and fertilizer prices, along with the constant threat of enemy shelling, add to the usual production challenges.
In total, the Lozivskyi district is expected to harvest early grain and leguminous crops from 82.5 thousand hectares this year. Of this, over 35.6 thousand hectares are within the Lozivska community. Winter wheat occupies the largest area, nearly 30 thousand hectares. Additionally, community farms are to thresh almost 2 thousand hectares of spring barley, about 1.86 thousand hectares of peas, nearly 1 thousand hectares of spring wheat, 385 hectares of winter rye, 240 hectares of oats, and 210 hectares of winter barley.
As of July 14, the Lozivskyi district has already threshed 1.6 thousand hectares of winter wheat, yielding 7.4 thousand tons of grain with an average productivity of 45 centners per hectare.
The harvest from 1.5 thousand hectares of peas has also been collected, producing over 2.3 thousand tons with an average yield of 16 centners per hectare.
Furthermore, agricultural producers have threshed 432 hectares of winter rapeseed, obtaining 734 tons of crop with an average productivity of 17 centners per hectare. In total, 3.8 thousand hectares of this crop are subject to harvesting in the district.
