On July 16, 2026, the Verkhovna Rada re-established the separate Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and appointed Taras Vysotskyi as its head. The newly appointed minister outlined the key priorities of the department’s work, including European integration, development of processing, support for frontline communities, and digitalization of the agro-industrial complex.

This is reported by Latifundist.com, citing Taras Vysotskyi’s Facebook page.

According to him, state policy should help farmers work, develop, and invest in the future.

Among the key areas of work, he named:

  • European integration — preparation of the agricultural sector for Ukraine’s full membership in the EU;
  • reconstruction and development — attracting investment, developing processing, creating products with higher added value, increasing competitiveness, and expanding export markets;
  • support for frontline and de-occupied territories — demining agricultural lands, restoring production, ensuring farmers’ access to financing and state programs;
  • reforms and digitalization — modernization of agrarian policy and increasing its effectiveness.
